Flatiron Festival
The Flatiron Festival is a classical chamber music series conceived as a pilgrimage into the sublime, where each program serves as an offering, combining the rare and the beloved.
Set in a true reincarnation of a 19th-century music salon, embodied by Gotham Arts' spacious yet intimate loft, the festival features masterpieces of classical music written for a wide array of instruments, including both original works and transcriptions.
Traditional piano and strings are joined by saxophones and a bassoon to perform music spanning six centuries. In six offerings, audiences will experience 13 musicians, 23 composers, 30 works, 8 instruments, 4 concertos—and unlimited discoveries!

Series highlights include recitals by pianists Rachel Breen and Nicolás Pellón, performing both iconic and incredibly rare piano works; vibrant Czech and Spanish piano trios introduced by the Hermitage Piano Trio; dazzling kaleidoscopes of styles and forms in recitals by saxophonist Brandon Quarles and bassoonist Eleni Katz; and the series finale, featuring both Chopin piano concertos in an arrangement for string quintet, performed by pianist Asiya Korepanova, the Balourdet Quartet, and double bassist Nina Bernat.
